Years ago the 215 acre tract of bottom land had been the riverbed of the mighty Mississippi. The lowland became home to soybean, corn, sugar cane crops, and cattle. In the winter of 2001 earthwork began. The once flat farmland was transformed into rolling green hills which featured 14 lakes. The 600,000 cubic yards of material that was escavated helped sculpt the undulating fairways. The lakes serve as a source of irrigation for the golf course, as well as adding to the aesthetics.
The challenging layout of the 18-hole Championship Golf Course was completed and opened in February of 2003 as Farm d'Allie Golf Club.
